After the tragic loss of his wife, successful professional surfer Tommy Donahue leaves behind the beaches of Malibu and relocates his family to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where his lifelong friend, Andy Park, has offered him the opportunity to help breathe new life into Lakeside Brewery.
Trading palm trees for snowstorms and surfboards for a decidedly more Midwestern way of life, Tommy and arrives with his outspoken teenage daughter Sydney, thoughtful young son Luke, and endlessly optimistic mother Louise. Three generations of Donahue's must now adjust to a new home, new relationships, and a culture very different from the one they left behind.
At its heart, Brewed Awakening is a family comedy about navigating life's unexpected turns together. Through generational clashes, sibling rivalries, small-town adventures, and plenty of fish-out-of-water moments, the Donahue’s discover that starting over doesn't mean leaving the past behind, but a new place to belong.
